We are over politicised....

Of course, the new generations are much different from the older generations in different view points...

Most people when asked personally, do not have religious or political intolerances. They prefer to think beyond barriers. The higher education and standard of living has changed the mindsets of people.

Still a few, could be politicians or religious leaders, for their monetory, or power aspirations, try to bend people to their tastes. Many fall pray to those. My dear friends, dont feel offended...these leaders includes congressmen, league or communists, or sanghies.... Lets not limit them to political leaderships.... Muslim League leaders try to have power in their reaches...same is the case with NSS or SNDP... Catholic Church too is not different... we do see the tactics to protect their rich instistutions, their land mafias, using minority, and vimocahana samaram.. even we are using traditions to create power centres... Syro Malabar Church could be an example.

Let me come to the original issue. Eventhough Keralites started to think, it is long way to go... We listen to the politicians, or religious leaders to agreat extent.... with our basic selfishness. we dont look at our neighbours, when he is starving. We look jealously at them, when they prosper. then we will do our best to pull his legs.

We are over politicised....

we link politics to every aspect of our life... even we mix politics to religion, education, culture, ...to everything. We do have leaders, who take politics as a full time profession. I have seen guys with post graduation, without doing any work, just getting busy with politics... and then build big houses, buy plots... the speading corruption damages our generations.

Some of them turn to trade union politics.... am not against trade unions... unions for the sake of unions...strikes to keep them active...is killing our state..our industries..

We have fought against computers.... we have fought agaisnt "koythu yanthram", against attendance at offices, against development of places.... but when we turn back... how can we justify those fights?

We are over religious...

Our over dependance or religious leaders, rather than what is taught in our Holy Books, are misleading us. Recently we have seen many fake pastors, and swamies... How do our people, including senior officials go behind them? IMHO (courtesy: Jojan), we adore our priests, we give them over importance...and they take advantage of us.

We rush for banners advertising healing... ror we rush to retreat centres, expecting miracles.. Jesus said...these people are looking for miracles...

What need is faith in what the Holy Books teach us..

We lack manners...

We are all self centred. When we take a step, we never think of the effect of that step to another person who may come that way... We all need our things to get done, we dont care about what might happen to our neighbour because of our actions.

A quick thought of our fellowmen, will stop us from many wrong doings. When we rush for our comforts, a small glance at a starving neighbour in the street...might make us turn our steps. But Malayalees never bother about their neighbours... the phrase .."Ayalvaasi oru daridravaasi"is hard coded in our hearts.

Will come back...
